Measure: Amend item #27 - Election of Officers

Lucy von Brachel, Member of District 4, made a motion to amend Item No. 27 as follows, which was duly moved and seconded:

RESOLVED, that Chapter 2 Administration, Article 9, Section 2-43 of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Greenwich entitled: School Building Committee, be amended as follows:

Within thirty (30) days after the appointment of members of a newly formed Committee by the Representative Town Meeting, the First Selectman shall call the first meeting of the Committee. At that meeting, the Committee shall elect from its voting members a chairman, a vice- chairman, and a clerk. Each officer shall serve for a term of one (1) year from the date of the Committee’s appointment by the Representative Town Meeting, or until their successor is elected. At the first meeting following the conclusion of each one (1) year term, the Committee shall hold an election to install officers for the subsequent one (1) year term. Incumbent officers are eligible to be re-elected.
