Susan Fahey, Chairman of District 11, made a motion to amend Item No. 17 by deleting Section 6B-6(3e)(6) and replacing it with the following: 6B-6(e)(6):
As of the Effective Date of this ordinance, the Town Conservation Department shall initiate an information and education program to raise landscaper and resident awareness about this ordinance with respect to leaf blowers, including but not limited to (a) how to prepare to comply with this Section 6B-6(e)(6), (b) informing the public on electric landscaping best practices, and (3) educating the public at large through town communications, social media, and direct outreach to landscapers Effective as of the Friday before Memorial Day in 2025, the use of gasoline powered leaf blowers on premises in residential zones that are parcels of one (1) acre or less located in the Town of Greenwich is prohibited from 6:00 p.m. the Friday before Memorial Day through September 30.
