Measure: Amend Vacancy Filing Requirements - Wet Ink Only

Morgan Evans, Member of District 6 on behalf of the District made the following motion to amend Item No. 25 as follows:
(b) Any vacancy in the full number of RTM members from any district, whether arising from a failure of the registered voters thereof to elect, or from any other cause, may be filled by the remaining members of said district from among the registered voters thereof. A member's resignation shall be effective upon filing with the Town Clerk a wet ink signature hard copy of the member's written resignation. Upon such filing, receipt of a member's resignation, petition therefor, signed by not less than a majority of the RTM members from the district, notice of any vacancy shall promptly be given by the Town Clerk to the remaining members from the district in which the vacancy exists.
